Bidra med feedbackA perfect neighborhood wine shop that also features curated food items like hot sauces as well as cookware. The staff is super friendly and eager to help, whether you're looking to try something new or purchase a familiar favorite. They offer free wine tastings on Friday nights which is a great time to branch out and try something new. One of my favorite things about the shop is that they carry small, boutique wineries from parts of the country that would be hard to access otherwise. I'm thankful to have a wine shop like this in Winston!
I came here for a Triad Foodie event. We had a four-course tasting menu and wine. The owner is very generous made the event a lot of fun. They did a nice job explaining each dish. My favorite was the dirty south oysters. I would order them again. I also liked the wine the owner recommended and it was on special. The service was on point. The chef was awesome and was telling us about the new location and butcher shop.
Went to Vin 205 to try it out and honestly wasn't expecting how amazing it was! The food is so good and the prices are so reasonable. The drink special of the night was half off NC beers on tap so my brown truck beer ended up being just $3! We started off with the breads and spreads appetizer which came with INCREDIBLE pimento cheese, honey butter, and olive oil with balsamic as well as 3 different kinds of bread. The brioche is from Camino bakery and that combined with the honey butter was a match made in heaven. I got the sandwich of the day which was a turkey melt with guacamole. It came with a side of French fries and their fries were so good I may be returning just for those. My sandwich came out and didn't have any guacamole on it and my waitress was quick to apologize and bring me a huge side of it so it was really no issue at all! I don't know what her name was but she was bartending as well and she was so personable and friendly. Overall, my favorite things about this place were the ambiance, the service and my amazing appetizer. My boyfriend and I will definitely be returning for more drink specials and more pimento cheese.
OK, it's no longer a Bistro, but they have these great Take N Bake meals you can bring home and put in the oven and have a great hot meal at home. They also have a great selection of local and regional grocery items and amazing butcher shop proteins is you feel like cooking at home. The wine selection is great too.
Guys. I just had a friend bologna sandwich with wine and I wasn't looked at funny. I came here after a yelp search and need a gluten free friendly place for my guest. My guest was so blown away because they had so many options. When we came in, our server and the owner were very attentive to us. It was nice to be able to talk to the employees without feeling like we were bugging them. My guest got the carrot ginger soup and the bacon cheeseburger. They were very pleased. I didn't taste it but that's because I didn't get a chance. My got the pork pop and the special, fried bologna sandwich with arugula, garlic aioli and sourdough. I was such a happy, full southern girl. The bologna is house made and unlike anything I've had before. I even asked if I could take some home. I can't wait to go back and explore this menu more! So glad I decided to go here tonight. Oh and they have lots of wine but I was way to distracted by food.
