Bidra med feedbackI was drawn to this restaurant by the stunning coffee designs, and I was not let down! Madison, you did an amazing job! Kelly and Jack were also fantastic. My boyfriend adored the gluten-free brownie. I also tried the Horchata drink, which was delicious!
Although the name suggests Camino Bakery's specialty is in baked goods (which are top-notch), I am truly impressed by their coffee. The espresso shots are consistently strong and the drip coffee is excellent. Camino can easily compete with any specialty coffee shop out there! The selection of roasts from Counter Culture Coffee Roasters is clearly well thought out, and the baristas are very skilled. While I usually prefer a lighter roast for my espresso, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the shots I received on multiple occasions. Whether in the morning or near closing time, the drip coffee was consistently delicious. A special mention must be made for the incredible Tarta de Santiago, the recipe for which is absolutely fantastic.
We got the Matcha Shakerato, the Basil Cafe, a cinnamon scone, and a cinnamon roll. Their matcha was some of the best I had and the cinnamon roll was delish. The scone was mediocre and the basil coffee left something to be desired. So all inall Good, not great Dwight Schrute
Today I ordered a bread pudding and was extremely disappointed. This classic American comfort food was made poorly by the Camino bakers - it was a hard, tasteless blob in the shape of a muffin, filled with tough chocolate chunks. It should have been savory, soft, and gooey, but the one from Camino was a far cry from what it should have been. In fact, it was so hard that I think it could have caused damage if thrown against a window. Not only was this unpleasant dish overpriced, but it was also lacking in quality. I am willing to pay more for good pastries, but this was too expensive considering how awful it tasted. I may have to take my business elsewhere if the quality does not improve.
Nice coffee shop downtown that also offers teas and pastries. The space just opened back up after renovations that expanded the square footage. This new layout makes the place not only feel more spacious but offers additional seating, which sometimes wouldbe difficult to find. If you're someone who needs a dairy alternative, they have you covered with a few different options. Theyalso usually have at least 2+ vegan baked goods on hand everytime I pop in.
