Bidra med feedbackSuper easy to book a table on Thursday evening in June. We were recommended by a local winemaker. The terrace was nice and the place was full. We have 3 years old and they had a few toys to keep him occupied, beautiful wine map (although more expensive than another very nice restaurant we had at noon). The child's options were extremely limited (2 pork, 1 vegetarian), but the server assured me an option was beef only to find out after we got it was actually pork... the adult meal was unusual. The atmosphere was great.
Great food, wonderful place to drink from the wide selection of local wines and friendly and familiar service. Always good to be back.
Old wine making 'farm ' with nice interior full of old equipment related to wine making. Inside, it can become quite noisy due to sound reflecting walls and ceiling. Awesome terrace! Kind service and waiting staff. Menu card with wine related choice, many many local wines and dishes with regional ingredients. The descriptions look quite contemporary, but the result on the plate is rather not. Food is good, but still quite 'German ' and not as refined as you might expect. Overall atmosphere and experience is good and we would certinly return.
We stayed in Winningen for three nights and had dinner here two of those night. The first time was a Monday night and, being off season, was very quiet. In fact just one other couple came in. But the owners served us themselves and it was delicious. We even got a tour of the ancient wine cellar below the restaurant after dinner. Went back Wednesday with our kids and the atmosphere was completely different. The place was packed. Still a wonderful dinner and evening. I highly recommend the creamed sauerkraut. The sweetness of the cream took just a bit of the edge off of the sauerkraut sounds odd, but tastes divine. Memorable dinners that we'll relive for years.
Today google has recommended us a restaurant near us, we have loaded in the charging column moseltal east. thanks google and thanks to the friendly people of the gaschallenke schaaf. it is very tasty for them
