El Mono - Winnemucca

Their tacos with their homemade tortillas are amazing. the service was really friendly and great prices too!

Great food every time we eat here! we will normally come out as their service slowly refills the check. once they make a mistake in our decision, but that is to be expected; they are also human.

We got dinner to go from El Mono during a recent stopover in Winnemucca. We were staying across the street at the Frontier Motel. The young lady who waited on us was super nice and the restaurant was relatively clean. When I looked more closely at the bill, I notice they double charged us for a small order of chips and salsa. doh! Still if given the chance, I'd eat here again. Their home made corn tortillas are da bomb!

Somewhat slow for a Mexican restaurant. Local place. That's a plus. They were friendly. Food was good. They didn't have chili relleno, which was on the menu, and offered Chili Verde, which is nothing like a chili relleno. It tasted good, but not what we expected. My enchiladas we're fine. I ate all three of them. I did really like the beans.

Very inconsistent service and food. Always takes forever for the food to arrive once you order. Usually the place is empty and it takes 1/2 hr to 1 hr for your food to be prepared. Service is usually slow and have to wait for refills or any extras. Food can be decent when it does arrive.
