Bidra med feedbackThe restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, perfect for both tourists and locals to interact. We enjoyed engaging in conversations with the regular customers, chatting about their fond memories of the Goon Show on the radio.
The Theatre Coffee Shop, located within the Stalls Bar, is managed by a highly efficient young woman who is always well-prepared, well-stocked, and ready to serve patrons during the brief intermission between acts. Customers can enjoy a variety of drink options, including coffee and ice cream, as well as bar snacks like crisps and peanuts. The prices are reasonable, providing a welcome break from sitting for an extended period of time.
Used coffee shop prior to matinee and not only enjoyed a nice cup of coffee but greatly enjoyed the music played by the pianist. Areal bonus.
Had hot chocolate before the show. A little small, but our group of 6 were able to sit together and enjoy our drinks. Casual and friendly. Enjoyed the comedy also.
We had a two tier (split screen? dining adventure recently! Two Saturdays ago, before the 4.45 matinee, we used our tickets for the Windsor Theatre Rep production to get a free glass of fizz Kir Royale while we chose our two course meal at the super Cote restaurant, surely the best Thames side location in Windsor. Replete, we meandered sunnily back over the bridge up to the bijou Windsor Theatre Royal. For the second half of our meal, we went down from the foyer to the tiny coffee bar where we ordered a cappuccino, a cup of Earl Grey and one dark slice of luscious naughtiness (chocolate cake with two forks! We took this feast down more stairs to the quaint drinks bar, Here, as the pianist plays in the background, a rising buzz of excited chat heats the effervescent atmosphere, until it's abruptly extinguished by the bell to summon the audience above. Eating in the Theatre Royal is a first for us, but definitely not a last! Food was top yum quality; service was charming and capable at a very reasonable cost, really good value for money. Programmes are available in the coffee bar, too, which is useful if you forget to buy when you come in. To allow time for this lovely experience, go well before curtain time as it soon gets crowded. And do order your drinks in advance for the interval to avoid queues. Superb pre show experience in the Theatre Royal Coffee Shop do recommend it! .
