Cork Street Tavern - Winchester

Great service! The best potato soup I?ve ever had. Ruben was huge. And the fries? Crispy on the outside, creamy hot on the inside. Place was hopping and the service was still top notch. Oh and the coffee wasn?t bitter. Nice and smooth. First time here but won?t be the last. If you want smoking make sure to go in the east door. Nonsmoking is the Patio entrance. Almost forgot. Mozzarella sticks are handmade! The wreckage. We were famished, but it all came out pretty!

Good food and friendly service. Service was really slow which is why the 4 stars and not 5. Family friendly. Love that the smoking and no smoking sections are completely separated. We got the Corker Fries with the jalapeño ranch?SO good! The French dip was good, the burger was ok and the Southwest Shrimp Salad was excellent! We would definitely go back?just not when we?re in a hurry.

I lived in Winchester for 12 years before moving to Miami 2 1/2 years ago. Cork Street Tavern is one of the things I miss most about living in Winchester. It is still the gold standard by which I judge neighborhood pubs. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the service is always very good. I loved the Hawg Wings and the seared tuna steaks, plus of course the beef steaks and the burgers. The deserts were always to die for. Definitely a must for anyone living in or traveling to or through Winchester. My only regret is that I can't give this place more than 5 stars. I will definitely be back for dinner on the patio one of these days when I return to visit friends.

I visit town a few times a year. Once I discovered the Cork Street Tavern it's my spot for dinner. Great atmosphere. Great menu. Friendly staff. Swing by and give it a try.
