A favourite place to visit. Parking can be tricky when it's busy as it's located in a small hamlet. Beautiful location particularly in the spring and summer months. A note to the owners: your website appears not to have been updated since 2020 with Covid notices everywhere and that you serve meals on wheels! Otherwise always good!

Booked here for lunch on our way back from Dorset to Kent and it was fabulous. The restaurant was so busy and had a real buzz which was lovely. Our service was swift and food delicious, served by very pleasant staff. Couldn’t fault it!

This charming pub is located in a peaceful area and is well-managed with excellent cuisine. All of us enjoyed our meals, especially my delicious venison burger. We also had the opportunity to try one of the best bitters in the country, Butcombe from the Mendips. However, our experience was marred by an extremely loud customer at a nearby table, who seemed to think he owned the place. This individual dominated the room with his conversations, making it difficult for other diners to enjoy their meals. Despite the efforts of some diners to move away from the noise, it was impossible to escape. If you encounter this individual during your visit, it is best to find a quieter spot to enjoy your meal. It is unfortunate that one customer's behavior can negatively impact the dining experience for others. Just a heads up for the staff, he was there with a quieter friend on Tuesday, October 31st between 1-3pm. Addressing this issue may prevent other customers from being driven away by such disruptive behavior.

One of the best restaurants we’ve been to in years! Came here for lunch today. Friendly staff managed to put us on a lovely table by the river in the sunshine. Food was served super fast and was hot and delicious! Definitely recommend the roast dinner and the sticky date pudding. We absolutely loved everything…the setting, the food, the friendly staff, the weather. Would love to book a table every Sunday for the rest of my life!! Thank you for having us.
