We stopped here to destroy the autobahn traffic and I'm glad we did. it was a Thursday evening at 18 o'clock and quite quiet, so we had a choice where to sit and prompt service (with a smile. I had the homemade lasagne and my wife had the chickenburger and we both enjoyed our meal. we have around 7.15 and the streets where much quieter:

We visited here at lunchtime Saturday. Sandwiches were not on offer at lunchtime which was surprising but may be due to covid. We ordered steak and ale pie with veg and chicken and bacon pie with veg which were both tasty. Service was quick and suited us for a lunch and back to house hunting.

Table service instead of the normal carvery but the roast was amazing, one of the best pub roasts I've had.

Nice friendly pub with great food and a decent choice of beers.

Called in for lunch, met with a very welcoming member of staff, gave menus advised us of specials, drinks order taken, also food. Not a long wait and food was excellent, good portions, well cooked and extremely value for money. Were checked on to see if all was good. Had deserts, don’t usually, but they were exquisite Roulade and Bakewell tart. Was also advised people with small appetite could have just a starter or a starter and dessert, not many places would do this, so definitely the best place to go.
