Bidra med feedbackThat was a great experience. the food was excellent and the service was gracious and inconspicuous. we would definitely recommend the brandywine room.
The menu was prix fix for Valentine's Day, although it was the day after Valentine's Day. the caesar salad was blanching. our calfshunds were fat and hard and served in a soup bowl so they were hard to cut. out waiter was very nice, but he didn't get our drinks right. the entire waiting staff disappeared at one point, and we waited a very long time for coffee and then coffee refills. the dessert was usual. it is nothing like visiting the brandywine room/green room from earlier, where we credible excellent eating and excellent service. the manager approached the table and asked how the food and the service were, but there was so much wrong that we did not feel comfortable talking at that time.
The space was very beautiful in a historical sense. hand carved wood everywhere. it felt dark, but in a cozy way. eating was classic and modern at the same time. the correct amount on the plate so it was tasteful, but not difficult. the waiter was excellent so my wife and I feel relaxed in a more formal environment. everyone is very attentive to the details. overall an excellent experience.
It was fine. In general, I’ve had better food at more upscale restaurants for better prices. Also, neither the website nor the hostess (when calling about the reservation) indicated that there was a different Valentine’s Day menu, so the menu was not what we were expecting.
We went for a Saturday breakfast. The place was empty of diners and the food options were unexpectedly limited. That said, the service was excellent and the French toast, sausage and fresh made omelettes were all very good.
