Sahara - Wilmington

Great lunch. Fast service. Very generous children's dishes. Excellent gros, falafel and broccoli salad. Get the lunch special of the day for the best value. If you do not like Greek, do a killer Philly cheese steak or chicken pit and turkey veggie is very clean eating.

I haven't had anything bad from here yet. Sometimes the people who take your order are wonderful, then at times people have no clue and you need to repeat your order again to you. The frits and onion rings are the best. The gyros are very well done. The grilled cheese is fine. The hot dogs are perfectly grilled. The hamburgers are hit or missed. The fruit salad is ingenious and the Baklava is very good. I can't get enough of her fresh lemonade. Order the big one and expect more to want! Sweet tea is good. Depending on the time of day, the parking can be a stressful one. The small inner seat next door is more spacious and keeps you cool enough in the summer. The bathroom is usually clean, although it is small. Overall, I recommend it for a nice hold of not too fast food.

Here's a Wilmington landmark! The food is wonderful and the service is beautiful. Sometimes it takes some time to get your order, but it is because everything is done to order and it is constantly busy. There is an indoor pita pad and an outdoor terrace. If the parking lot looks full, there are parking spaces on the back. It's always worth it.

Great place to eat!! We have tried the Sahara many years ago and have been tense since then. All they do is delicious. But our favorite menus are: Egg salad sandwich and chicken salad sandwich. Your food has authentic Greek flavors and the food is always fresh. We also love their Baklava!! It's crispy and then just melts in the mouth. Y-U-M-Y!

Fantastic little food place just off of Market. Don't let the looks fool you. The food was great and the staff was really nice. The outside seating is well done and they have an indoor air conditioned area as well. You won't regret trying the gyro either.
