Bidra med feedbackThat was a joke, there was nothing in the tavern, it was held in a rear garden area at Shields. There were spiked nuts and a bag of cheese buffers as the food... (Seriously, that cost over $50) per person, so it cost us over $100. The drinks were sunk and tasted terrible. Of the three taverns that should be part of the pub war, none was open, so had to sit outside on two and the third was completely removed from the race, and it was not warm after the darkness. This was sold as a pub and I will try to get a refund of AMEX.
Unsatisfied with entertainment. It has added so much to the ambience, but I guess they're trying to save. The food was good and expensive.
Great place for New Year's Eve dinner the food and service were excellent and what an interesting building.
The food, service and entertainment was good. We all enjoyed it.
Shields Tavern has been reinstated to a historic dining venue. My last visit to Shields we bought sandwiches on a table inside the front entry and ate at long tables and benches with other visitors. Avoided that. The new/ old environment was lunch very and food far superior to our last dinner at Kings Arms! Miss the historical ambiance provided by servers and appetizers!
