Bidra med feedbackFun place to go to for an ice cream treat on Route 66! It's a 50's themed place (thus the name) and is owned by the son of the mayor. They offer burgers,...
If I could give this place no stars I would! We were just passing through this cute town on our way back from visiting the Grand Canyon. We were attracted...
We came here because every other restaurant, besides McDonald's, was closed. From a different restaurant we heard that they actually be good burgers, but...
Now that I have better service I can actually write this review. Best thing about this restraint is the decor. Digging the 50s style diner. Having grown up here twisters was one of my favorite places to go and I spoke pretty giggly of it until recently. Upon my last visit I was excited and a bit nostalgic of this having not been in it since highschool. Unfortunately it did not meet my expectations on food quality or service. The full bar is a joke having an extremely small selection of any kind of alcohol. Decent selection of on tap beer amazing glasses reply enjoyed how they slanted. The bartender a young lady attempting to train another server on how to make a proper rum and coke did not know which rum to put with the coke and I had to advise which is fine but shows little to know training of staff by management. Next neither knew how to actually poor the drink or the order it went in and again I advised and even gave advice on how to stir the drink so that you didn 't get the layered effect with the strongest drink being at the bottom. The malt I had ordered for me and son was good despite the fact that we could not get another because they were out of malt due to management not completing their order, if they ordered anything at all. The chili fries were good though the chili was straight out of a can and the fries were literally from dairy queen, I know this because our server had informed us of this after they had arrived to the table. This was also due to a management order mistake. I was prepared to forgive all of this for the sake of nostalgia until our burgers came out dry and not seasoned and the bun burned. I made a complaint to which the server took to the owner. His reply was that we were armatures and didn 't know what we were talking about. Extremely rude considering he didn 't know who I was or my history in food service and kitchen management. Completely unsatisfactory and is understandable why he is having trouble paying his employees since it is always dead. I am sad for the death of this iconic place of my youth but am saddened more by the shabby food and extremely rude personage of the owner which has driven away business. I would not return to this place nor would I recommend it to anyone looking for decent food. And as you can see the owner has claimed this to be a fake review due to the facts being presented instead of admitting to the error of their ways. This is fine just writing this to let people know.
Great diner. Great food. Friendly staff. Will definitely come by anytime im in Williams.
