Bidra med feedbackLocation is excellant overlooking the valley towards the lake Wildenstein near Kruth. The staff are friendly and accomodating. The food is a cut above the other auberges in the area we had eaten at previously. I recommend the duck it was delicious. Also the wine inspired us to drive to the winery (Blanck in Kientzheim) to try it straight from the source. Excellant.
We drove to the vicinity and were searching for a decent restaurant. Driving up the hill out of Waldenstein we happened upon Au Bram's. They were very welcoming, and after an apéritif on the terrace we moved indoors to a table by the window overlooking the valley. Between us we ordered a pork and a beef dish, which were both excellent along with wine from the region. We couldn't help ordering desserts as well and a digestif. It was so good, we came back the next evening. There were fewer guests, but the chef, his partner, and his parents were as welcoming as before. We had learnt of their reputation, so we ordered fresh trout – absolutely delicious – along with white Alsace wine. The digestif was on the house. Would love to go back there!
We popped in for a Monday lunch and were delighted to find a small but well selected menu representing some of the regional specialties. The dishes were made with skill and love and were all nicely presented. The beautiful scenery and the fine service made it a stop to remember and to recommend. We would have liked to see a bio wine or two on the wine list, though...
In this restaurant located in a beautiful place and they take advantage of it, you can eat well. all dishes are of good quality. From time to time there is a small flat, like a duck a little bit more tough etc. but it's not a big problem. The big plus is service. very kind and helpful. Anyway, if you're in the area, come here.
Quality of well cooked products. a little expensive to go more often (no menu formula). nice service.
