Primrose Farm - Wigan

Fresh food! various menus. high price-performance ratio. too good to be true? it is almost always, except the primrose farm. when they go with a meal, with a group or with children, this is a must visit place. the environment is quiet, eating is really fresh and the Sunday roast is perfect for every day of the week, they will live the yorkshire pudding, make them sure to double. there are also really nice and plentiful place to sit and eat outside. in most big pubs like this there is a sacrifice made with service. they expect it and on a Saturday night at 19:00 clock it is high time. but the service is incredible here. brand was one of the server and he went beyond and beyond to make sure that we had everything we wanted and needed to check whether there was any wise he could serve, they give this man an increase! the employees all seemed happy to be here as they take care of the customers and come back, are all concerned. this will not be a regular place for us and we could not recommend it very enough! ps try the gigantic cake and if they eat after custard and they will sort them out!

We were for adults and two small children. The facilities were clean and good, the staff were friendly and the food was great. The kids loved the children's area, we were sat next to it and they were happy pootling around on their own. There are a couple of machines that need money but there's enough free stuff for it not to be a problem. The kids food was great, and the carvery was exactly what you'd hoped for. The deserts were superb but a bit of a challenge to squeeze in after a carvery, I guess that's why they offer cake-away.

Amazing Sunday afternoon Carvery. Went as a big family group and have to say it’s the best Carvery we’ve been too. Got chatting to two ladies on Carvery who we found out from the waitress were called Mirelle and Marie. Both very efficient and very friendly. The Carvery was hot and tasty and there was so much choice I couldn’t fit everything on my plate! Also bought some cake to take home which was amazing. Huge portions and well worth the money. If you haven’t been I would recommend going as we will definitely be back.

Popped in for the first time yesterday and didn’t know what to have until I saw the Carvery. It looked amazing and I wasn’t disappointed. The service was great and the cakes to take home are massive! Couldn’t resist when the waitress asked if I wanted “cake away”. A brilliant visit with great staff and food. Will definitely be back!

Popped in for the first time today and what a place! They are currently doing kids eat for a pound which is great value. We didn’t try the Carvery although it looked really good. I had steak pie which was great! All the staff were very friendly and welcoming especially given that it was so busy. Will definitely be coming again soon
