Bidra med feedbackTraveling as family with three Autistic children ages 5, 8, and 10 had very late check in 2:38 AM my family sent directly to room that was already occupied by people. Thankful children and wife not shot for disturbing occupants. Having worked in a Hotel I can see how this happens. The room they gave us had many issues. 1 The toliet required me to place my hands into the tank to wiggle float so it would flush. 2 The closet doocame off the track and about fell on my oldest son. 3 My daughter said, Daddy, what are these neat bugs on the wall? The neat bugs just happened to be roaches. I killed one the other one got away, but while I was searching for it 4 I found what appeared to be a dried dog turd. 5 I would have called the front desk, alas the phone didn 't work so I went to the front desk approximately 3:00 AM and they gave me the card key to another room. I went back to tell everyone but they where all asleep. I didn 't mention that there was a bag of garbage left by the garbage can that stayed there until the cleaning period the next day, and three old milk containers by the fire exit across from the door to our new room we were given. They were still there when we left. It wouldn 't surprise me if they are still there as I write this review. When my wife woke up I gave her the key to the new room. After, I had moved everything to the new room and went to use the bathroom I discovered that there was no toliet paper holder. I asked her why she didn 't tell me earlier. She said, Hey the toliet works and this was minor. I didn 't see any bugs. As I said earlier, I have worked in the hotel industry before. If this happened to a customer I would have comped the whole room for the first night. However, I know there are charges associated with the room so I was willing to split the difference in rate to reach an equitable resolution for the amount of inconvenience and costs associated with readying rooms. Their policy is you stay you pay full rate. My recommendations don 't stay. If you must stay avoid Third floor. Any signs of trouble leave immediately if not sooner. There are times when the whole city is booked, if you are forced to stay may the rooms you get be bearable for you. Please note the pictures of the pool on this site are misleading. The pool does not have the number of hand rails shown. Only my two older children were able to use the pool because of this. Remember that Best Western brands are independently owned and operated. When I contacted them about the situation they did all they could to remedy the situation. The Manager sent the young Desk Clerk to deliver the full pay if you stay philosophy with the all or nothing clause. She was visibly nervous and shaking as she was conveying this policy. Making the clerk do the dirty work was very offensive to me. This whole review could have been avoided by calling me and not ignoring the issue. I never raised my voice or was disrespectful in my efforts to resolve this issue. I will be staying at Best Western properties in the future just not this one. Good luck and safe travels. Cast your economic votes wisely (decide who deserves the dollars you work hard for and think of money as a measure of value. Value is not an all or nothing proposition.
The rooms were dirty, cigarette burns on the comforter in one room, used (with dirty fingerprints on it) shampoo in the other room. The shower mat was so peeled in one bathroom as to be a tripping hazard. It’s the only place on my road trip that insisted on photocopying my ID and the woman seemed disappointed that my credit card didn’t have the numbers visible (a safety feature of my card) when she tried to photocopy it as well. The day after giving his phone number to this place, my fiancé began getting tons of spam phone calls supposedly from banks and we’re pretty sure they sold our information. There were people screaming in the parking lot at 1:30 AM. In all my years, worst stay ever on a road trip.
Very dirty, smelled horrible. Bathroom had a dirty shower curtain. Toilet was nasty. Vents were dirty. Sheets were stained and comforters had cigarette burns all over. Wood pieces sticking out that you hut your leg on. Stairs falling apart and held up by a little piece of wood. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
The reviews that say to stay away from this place are totally correct. Gangbangers and hookers in the parking lot. Found a needle under a cushion in my room. Had a dingy smell to the room. I will never go here again.
I do not recommend even considering this hotel. I barely felt safe and the maintenance was clearly poor upon more inspection. I do believe you get what you pay for but not in this case. I chose this Days Inn because it was inexpensive and close to the airport. The Wyndham name made me think maybe Days Inns were doing ok. But I was put off as we arrived by the location behind a warehouse with a vacant lot across the street. It seemed we were staying in a warehouse district with no one around. The clerk at the desk looked like we were checking into a flophouse. When we first stepped into the room, it seemed ok if not spiffy...plenty of room, reasonably clean although it did smell as if someone had smoked in the room in the distant past. We didn't inspect it carefully when we first arrived because we were rushing to make a dinner date with relatives. But when I went to take a bath around 10:30 p.m. before going to bed, I discovered that the tub could not be plugged because the plug mechanism was completely missing. You could see the hair in the drain from the last person that had water to shower. So I decided I would take a quick shower and go to bed. Pipe dream. There was no water to be had no matter how I manipulated the supposed control. There was no way anyone was repairing this at 10:30 p.m. To remedy this would clearly have meant changing rooms when we had already packed for tomorrow's flight and were undressed preparing for bed. And the place seemed pretty full. I wasn't at all sure we'd be able to change rooms. So I didn't shower at all and tried to get some sleep after discovering that the bed was not very comfortable. The next morning the clerk tried to tell me I should have called, but really there would not have been a way to remedy this. I had serious doubts about the cleanliness of the place after this because clearly no one had tried to clean that shower or they would have reported the problem to the management. I have had my doubts about Days Inn in general recently, but this place solidified my opinion that Wyndham is not offering any quality in this brand at all.
