Bidra med feedbackInteresting setup of a restaurant where you can tell the location was previously a cafeteria-style layout (area for picking up trays, counters for moving down the line), but they have converted it into a sit-down full-service restaurant without refurbishing the interior (just some reorganization). The lobby-space immediately outside of the restaurant appears to have been the old dining area, but looks to be a reception location for functions as when we went, they were setting up for a wedding. Smaller menu of sandwiches, salads, and omelets, small space, food took some time to arrive, service was good and refilled out drinks at a decent clip. Food was certainly adequate and fine, but not particularly memorable. Alcohol available, but did not partake.
I love this place. It's our secret lunch place. We've been coming here for I r years. Food is good, also imaginative, and affordable! Its great!
The menu was extensive for an art museum. My pan seared salmon was fabulous. The wine selection was really bad. Like $5-7 wine retail. Seriously? Art and wine go hand-in-hand. The only drinkable wine was the New Zealand sauvignon blanc. Everything else was Barefoot or Woodbridge quality and worse. Also, I never received bread even though the tables by me did. The paper napkin felt cheap. The dining room has a postmodern elegance with nice garden and lawn views looking toward the river. They really need to elevate the wine and have slightly better service.
Our server was rude and the food was mediocre. The quiche, for example, was soggy, bland, and lukewarm. The only positive of this place is that it's convenient if you're in the art museum.
Friendly, helpful, professional staff and the salmon is TO DIE FOR!!!!
