Miya Izakaya - Wichita East

I got to try so many amazing first-time dishes tonight at Miya Izakaya. I had never had Korean fried chicken, seaweed salad or tamago that I didn't make myself. The miso soup was some of the absolute best I've ever had. I also got to try Korean Plum soju and it was just the bit of sweet treat that I needed to round off this phenomenal meal. 10/10 Highly suggest coming here and trying all this delicious Korean/Japanese goodies.

We finally have a local place with good Korean wings! We ordered the soy flavor and the purinkle flavor. Both are really delicious. The soy flavor is a little on the salty side so if you like saltiness, this is for you. If you like a little more sweet, get the purinkle. I’m a little hesitant about this restaurant. After hearing about all the hype we decided to dine here. Nothing really stood out to us. The food was ok, nothing really bad. I didn’t like the flavor of the spider roll, it tasted a bit bitter. The tempura shrimp was soggy by the time it was served to us and the seasoning salt on the fries was not appetizing. For a kansas owned sushi bar, I'm super glad I zombie drove here at 10:40pm for a dragon roll, no bones in my eel, absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is definitely superior to most bars advertised. Brand new place and worth it!

Definition of Izakaya — Japanese Bar that serves alcoholic drinks and snacks. This place is just that. The selection of food and drinks are on point. The atmosphere is just about right and not too quiet. Price of food reflects to todays inflation costs and that is to be expected. Don’t let that discourage you, the experience is well worth.
