Bidra med feedbackA friend of mine told me about this place and I am so glad she did. I went in and was amazed at how clean everything was. The food was extraordinary and the sauce...awesome! It was worth the 25 minute drive!
I went to Tyler to buy an older Euro box truck for a film project. I chased the owner back onto and off of county roads until we came to his place where I could scheme the next day pickup of said vehicle back to Austin. No easy task left me wanting to try Sullivan's back in Tyler on way home. I was assured Katie's in the middle of tall pines was way better. Well yes and no. Know 1st up they will chop up and over slice everything unless you say Whoa. Sliced lean brisket was fine but to see the mediocre sausage sliced to bites was a big bummer so I knew then it was a soft give away to my house mate back home. They like no spice. Although lost, their directions back to where I started were rambling and I saw most of several counties, all back roads and beautiful. The drive over the bridges of Lake Palestine is as pristine as anything I've seen In state for years given the influx of newbies rushing to fill up my native state. Let's give Katie's kudos for best lost in middle of nowhere woods. It really was housed in a cabin. True story 226. Like that famous poem where you embark on a journey only to arrive back to same place and recognize for the first time.
This place is awesome and right down the road from my House. Very Friendly, clean and great menu. Also they have a drive thru!!
Great meaty flavored ribs, chopped beef sandwiches tasty, chopped right there as you wait, 5 stars, highly recommend
This place is a bit of a drive for me, but it is well worth the 25 minutes! The homemade sauce would make a flip-flop taste good! The ribs were tender and the sliced beef was pure perfection! Their Facebook page says that they are permanently closed , but don 't believe that. Friendly staff and immaculate restaurant!
