As I am very picky in regards to seafood, I was sure i was only going to try the non seafood options. But as my boyfriend dared me to try at least one oyster, I did try it. The guy who served us the oysters explained where the oysters were from and explained the sauces too and let me tell you I was surprised how good they were.. only having one turned into having 4 in total!! They were fresh and the sauce paired so well with them. After a little wait we were served the Arctic char sando and the honey glazed five spice pork collar on rice.. my taste buds were so so happy because both dishes were just wonderfully prepared. The drinks were great as well, even tho the strawberry swing was a bit more bitter than I anticipated but that's literally nitpicking in the most luxurious form.We had their rendition of a black forest cake.. which wasn't really a cake but I am not mad about it because it was so tasty. We were very happy with the service and the food and cannot wait to come back! Best part of this place was the music playlist. And the beer. Food was tasty focusing on quality not quantity. Like many (most? places these days could use another waiter.
One of my favourites in Whitehorse. Can be busy. Best to reserve.
Not just oysters. This place is a bit hard to find but most certainly worth the effort. This time I had oysters, the Sablefish Collars, and their Citrus Pearl cocktail. Wow!!! Here we are in the high-arctic and as a foodie this place is as good as it gets anywhere on earth. I have also had their arctic char, chicken and pork dishes, and abdominal-regrets, only longing for more. They also have vegetarian options that are also worth coming here for.Notice the malt beer tanks? Their homemade beer is superb.I have no connection to these people other than an admiration for their culinary magic.Don’t miss out!
