This restaurant offers the best Mexican food in the region north of British Columbia. What stood out the most was the meticulous attention to detail to ensure the best dining experience: stunning decor and ambiance, top-notch cleanliness (the cleanest restroom in Whitehorse!), and attentive customer service. If you're in search of genuine Mexican cuisine, look no further! The staff was friendly and attentive. Dining on the terrace made the food even more enjoyable. We had a little visitor - a sparrow tried to steal our nachos. The portion sizes were not huge, but just right to leave you feeling satisfied. Be sure to check out the daily specials written on the whiteboard. Just a heads up, they do not accept Amex as payment.

I am from Ontario and if you had told me that I needed to travel 4000 kilometers to find authentic Mexican food, I would assume that meant going to Mexico. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I could have an excellent Mexican meal right here in Whitehorse at Sanchez Cantina. A friend recommended this restaurant to me and I decided to give it a try. I ordered my dish with the highest level of spiciness and it did not disappoint. I usually enjoy spicy food and Sanchez Cantina definitely delivered on both heat and flavor. It was one of the best Mexican meals I have ever had, even compared to my experiences dining in Mexico on multiple occasions. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.

Service was very good, fresh food at very reasonable prices. I had the “Gringa” with steak and the enchiladas with chicken, sauces were full of taste and the food was very delicious. A “must try” when you come to Whitehorse for a visit. I picked up Dessert from the restaurant today, I tried the flan that was very good. It wasn't too sweet just perfect.

This was the second time going to the Sanchez Cantina during business trips. The food is so good and authentic Mexican food. Service is very good to. It does get busy.
