Bidra med feedbackMy man and I ate here in the summer when visiting friends in montana. we stumbled over after visiting the lewis and clark caverns and I'm sure we did it! eating was amazing and the service was top notch. my man almost always complains in restaurants about the way his steak is cooked, but this time he said it was perfect! the prices were extremely reasonable and they get tons of food. the escaped come with suppe, salat, and a side that was more than enough for us. everything had a fresh, homemade taste (not frozen and reheated like some restaurants.) we have a river view after dinner on a terrace behind the bar that just crossed the cake. beautiful environment, great eating and great business!
OK. I just ate there today and I was very unhappy when I left. When we received to menu almost everything was over $20 a dish with no sides. The sides you had to order separate and they were very expensive as well. Now my idea of fine dining is Perkins so needless to say I don't have very high standards. The steak my husband, ordered for it to be done, it came with a little color on the outside and ****! My fish was had and dry. In fact didn't even taste like fish. The fries were burnt on the outside and frozen in the middle. The just served water had chunks in it. My girls and I both walked out sick to our stomachs. Besides that there were bugs everywhere. From where we were sitting we saw a half a dozen spiders, flies everywhere and ants crawling all over us.
We found the prices for the entrees to be very reasonable, especially for a steakhouse. I ordered the filet mignonette while my wife went for the prime rib. Both steaks were cooked to perfection, and my filet was so tender that it practically melted in my mouth. Each dish came with one or two sides, a mixed green salad, a cup of homemade soup, and freshly baked bread with homemade butter. The portions were generous enough to fill us up and even provided some leftovers for our trip home. Beyond the delicious food, the service, location, and margaritas were all fantastic. I highly recommend LaHood's to anyone visiting the Butte or Bozeman area.

I dined at this restaurant today and left feeling quite disappointed. Almost everything on the menu was over $20 per dish, and sides had to be ordered separately, which added to the cost. I don’t have very high standards, but my experience was still below expectations. My friend's steak was cooked to his request but had a minimal sear on the outside, and my fish was dry—so much so that it hardly tasted like fish at all. The sides were burnt on the outside and cold in the middle. To make matters worse, the water we were served had a strange taste. My daughters and I felt unwell afterward. Additionally, we noticed numerous issues around us, including flies buzzing about and ants crawling on our table. Overall, it was not a pleasant dining experience.
