Sushi Iwa - White Rock

I normally would give sushi Iwa at least a 4, but today I tried the chicken katsu as normally the chicken karagge is very good.I did not enjoy the katsu at all. There was too much grease soaked panko and the oil tasted/smelled old. I pressed on it and oil came out. They left the skin on the chicken and it doesn’t render down like fried chicken, so was chewy and just gross. I wish Japanese restaurants would use Saku as the best example for katsu and follow that.I could have complained but didn’t today. The server didn’t ask how our food was and when she took my plate away (on which was left all that chicken skin and extra panko) she didn’t ask then either.So, points lost for not being concerned with the quality.

The servers are attentive and the staff very fast. Some of the freshest food I've had in a while. Portions are also generous.

We LOVE Sushi IWA. We try to hit the beach as often as possible and always stop at IWA for dinner after our day in the water. The staff are attentive and friendly. The food is amazing ? We are always made to feel like they remember us.

Really quick service. Priced for locals and not a tourist trap like most other places on the strip. Some of the freshest sushi you can get.

Best Sushi i ever had, and the price was very reasonable. I am travelling lots bit never been to such a good restaurant before. Super nice and courteous staff. I will definitely come back. Maybe tomorrow.
