Shinjuku Japanese Restaurant

Oceanside sushi with a friend who recommended this place. The server was nice especially with two toddlers in tow. I ordered the SUSHI BOX: Chicken karaage (hot, crispy and tender), California rolls, sashimi (very fresh). It was all very tasty and a reasonable price. We enjoyed this place, the views were great, service was nice and the food was yummy.

This restaurant is around for many many years. The food is consistently good and we'll priced. Service is friendly and the location right at marine drive overlooking the ocean. It has a small patio to sit outside. I would recommend this any time

As the title says, Shinjuku is very good. In addition to good food, service and menu choices, it has a great patio overlooking the ocean. We like it and have eaten here several times. However, we prefer another Japanese restaurant that, while in White Rock, isn't down by the ocean. But, if you are on Marine Drive and thinking it would be nice to have some Japanese food, we do recommend it.

We know that its a typical beach side sushi place, so that's why we wee not expecting a Nobu or anything like that, so in short, it was a good sushi place, not the best, but good for the beach if you're wanting some sashimi with extra ginger. My wife wanted the tuna gomai, but they did not have any gomai anymore, so we ended up having a nice variety of sashimi, and some yaki udon (a bit oily though, but good) the lady greeted us and sat us outside, it smelled a little old inside, so definitely sit outside if you can. They can't control the age of the building, but maybe something to try to take the old smell out would be a bonus for this place. Overall, good for the strip, but could be much better for sushi lovers such as my self!!!

We had this restaurant recommended tours by our daughter's Japanese instructor and it was worth the visit. Not busy for the winter, but service was excellent. We had the Bento box, and the servings were larger than many other Japanese restaurants we have been to. The chicken teriyaki was nice, moist and tasty. We would go back again for another meal.
