Went in today to support my local bakery and to treat myself on an otherwise greif stricken and depressing Valentines day. All was going well until a heavy set grey haired lady came running up to me yelling at me that a fallen wet floor stand has to be exactly in a spot that rubs up against my brand new long coat. In front of my access to the pay station. I have scoliosis and can 't bend over or around to use the debit device. The young clerk was helpful and very polite.Before we could finish....she was telling me how Wednesday is seniors day...the large grey woman comes between us yelling into the phone....so loud...it made me feel panicky. Lots of people have a dread response to yelling.I 'm shocked because Ive never encountered such outright obnoxious behaviour like this in this store before. Its not cheap either...why do we need to be hassled while shopping? My gawd.Someone either needs to get some customer service awareness training or she needs to retire. Im still shaking!Do better Hillcrest...there are other places to shop. So upset...

Picked up two small meat pies for almost $10 realistically worth maybe three dollars each. The beef and vegetable pie had maybe a tablespoon of ground beef in a moist flower paste with absolutely no vegetables or flavour. The crust on the bottom was not cooked and chewy.I asked the person working there, if the pies had been in contact with cilantro, as I have an allergy. She just shrugged her shoulders, and continued to ask me for money.I don’t know if this is under new ownership or not, but I won’t be back.Also smelled very much like an Indian restaurant in there not a bakery.

Had a gender reveal cake made by Hillcrest Bakery. The sealed envelope inside said we were having a boy but the bakery baked a pink cake. The actual cake itself was delicious but if you are looking to get this establishment to make any kind of gender reveal cakes/cupcakes I would not recommend this place!

The young lady who helped me this morning was very friendly and helpful. I was delighted to see mincemeat tarts and even more pleased when she pointed out the flour ones. Amazing Keto shortbread cookies. Lots of English baking. My mom hasn’t had tea cakes since she left England 40 years ago. She said they are just as good as she remembered from England. They even have fresh baked Eccles cake and Scotch pies.
