Bidra med feedbackAs a 32-year upper valley native Elixir stands out as my favorite upper valley resident for all occasions. Very reasonably priced compared to the competition and they always have the perfect sized rotating menu; there are always options that will excite anyway, but not so many dishes that it becomes overwhelming or a distraction for the chefs (which ultimately leads to lower quality for the patron). Always the best seafood in the upper valley and they don’t even “specialize” in that. Given their sidestreet location it can be relatively easy to find a table compared to nearby restaurants on larger thoroughfares. Mostly locals. Cocktails are also very good and generally $5-8 cheaper than Wolf Tree. Overall prices are a little bit less than Thyme and about even with Tuckerbox—but better portions, value and quality.
Another amazing meal! All three of us had wonderful meals, starting with the truffle fries and a Cesar salad…we had the risotto, cod cakes and pork chop..all beautifully executed. Teena and the staff around her were perfect..and fabulous cocktails…well done everyone!!!! We have lived in Quechee for 22 years…and finally we have a favorite spot…
The food was good, nothing amazing but not bad. The restaurant itself had an odd smell and didn 't seem super up to date. A lot of the menu items seemed relatively simple, but we 're given a fancier name to appeal to more of the fine dining vibe. Our server was very attentive, and checked on us often. I won 't go again, but it wasn 't bad. Definitely make sure to place a reservation because it was busy.
Chris has welcomed the mentorship of Skip and given that Chris had been the chef, Elixir has been able to maintain its standard of excellence. Interesting fare, unpretentious, a delightful place.
We didn’t have a reservation but luckily they have a table for us on a (crowded) Thursday night there. We got the recommended special menu of the day. Just enough food for a full and satisfied meal. Excellent service.
