The Terrace of Maleny Restaurant

We hadn't been to this gem of a restaurant for a few years so decided, with a group of friends (12 in total), to take advantage of the Wine, Dine and Stay deal. $150 for accommodation at Maleny Terrace Cottages (next door) and $150 per couple for the seafood feast. Dinner on the Saturday night was exceptional. We started with a delightfully tasty chowder followed by a cold seafood and fruit platter. Some of our group forgot there were hot platters to come and filled up on the plentiful prawns, oysters, mussels, bugs and sand crabs. Only half the group made a dent in the sensational hot platter which had a gorgeous array of perfectly fresh and tender calamari, fish, prawns and fish. Attentive service by Michelle and Danny ensured a very special group get-together.This was our third visit to this restaurant and we will definitely return.Thanks to all for a memorable weekend.

Magnificent seafood feast. Friendly staff who know how to look after you. Wonderful views across the valley to the sea. Great atmosphere. The food was exceptional. Great care is taken to respect the seafood. Wonderfully fresh and cooked to perfection. More than we could eat. They even marked my birthday with a little surprise to finish. Bravo, outstanding,congratulations. Best birthday ever thanks.

We took my wife's sister to an early birthday lunch here (as we wouldn't be in the area on her birthday later that week) and really enjoyed all aspects of our lunch.The view from the restaurant is great, looking dowon over the Sunshine Coast. The restaurant is attractively presented, and the little extras, like the birthday decorations on our table when we arrived, are a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and approachable, and knew their products very well. The seafood chowder was very tasty. I found my fish to be very nice, and my wife and her sister enjoyed a platter that gave a variety of tasty seafood. The staff were very happy to accommodate my wife's dietary needs. We had no trouble finding good wines to accompany our meals. Though this outing proved to be expensive, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

We visited as we had a Red Balloon voucher for a seafood feast.

An unexpected, pleasant surprise in this little ville.
