Bidra med feedbackAlways have great food and service. Reubens are the best!
This place features authentic German foods with a slight midwestern accent on the flavours. The serving sizes are intense; bring a lot of hunger, or friends.I thought this was a mom and pop joint, but it turns out they have several locations around the cities. It still felt very local, mom and pop feeling. They have a nice beer selection, including recent Octoberfest winners. The bathrooms have to be seen to believed, the urinals are beer kegs. Ladies sneak into the men 's and take a peak. They also feature an arcade. You don 't see those much anymore.I ordered the sampler meal, A Taste of Deutchland, a little bit of everything. I wanted to try the potato salad and the dessert menu, but I was way too full.I highly recommend bringing friends or family, this is a great place for serious beer drinkers and kids too.
The food NEVER disappoints. Jim and Jeannie are close to the best humans I've met. I hope the friends Ive met here will be friends for a ridiculously long time
Come in and relax while getting a bite to eat. Large portions. Reasonable prices. Nathan was our server who kept our drinks full without being annoying
This place claims to be German but all the interior decor (including city skyline pictures) are all American. When I walked in, I just stood for like 3 minutes trying to figure out how to order. I finally found someone who looked like a waitress and asked them for a menu. They were literally staring at me the whole time. The bartender ended up taking my order. He was a little friendlier but still didn't even attempt to engage in any conversation (its not like the place was crowded 3 people at the bar table and two groups playing card games at the tables). The bartender ended up breaking up the card game folks because they were sitting there for ages without buying anything. Also, the exterior of the building reeked of cigarette smoke.Food was ok. I got the Taste of Deutschland. Only flavors were acid, salt and umami. Red cabbage, spatzel, toast, gravy, sauerkraut, mettwurst and schnitzel were good. Sauerbraten was weirdly dry. Schweinshaxen was mostly just bone and skin. Also, the website doesn't work. If I was desperately crazing German food and nothing else was open, I might come here. But it wasn't a great experience IMO.
