Gino's Famous Pizza - Whitby

This restaurant serves the best pizza. The food is always fresh and hot, whether you choose to pick it up or have it delivered. The staff is very efficient.

The restaurant is spotless, the pizza is delicious, and the prices for the generous size and variety of toppings are simply amazing! This is now our go-to place.

I recently ordered takeout from Gino's in Pickering, choosing their signature pepperoni panzerotti. I have been a loyal customer for the past 12 years. While the customer service at Gino's is always excellent, the quality of the food can be inconsistent. The staff is friendly, attentive, and ensures that your order is well taken care of. However, the taste of the food varies from order to order. Some dishes are flavorful and satisfying, while others are lacking.One notable feature of Gino's panzerotti is its size; it is impressively large, almost too big for one person. This can be both a positive and a negative. On one hand, you get a good amount of food for your money. On the other hand, the taste may suffer. Unfortunately, my last order was overwhelmed by an excessive amount of cheese, which overshadowed the other flavors. This lack of balance was disappointing and detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meal.Additionally, I must mention the unappealing sight outside the restaurant's front door. The presence of large spider webs and spiders in the entrance area may not bother everyone, but for someone like me who dislikes spiders, it creates an uncomfortable atmosphere. While I understand that this may not be directly under the restaurant's control, addressing this issue could greatly improve the overall impression of the establishment.Overall, Gino's has its strengths, but improvements in food consistency and cleanliness would elevate the dining experience for customers.

We have been going to Gino's (independent not to be confused with the Gino's chain) for a number of years, but they recently changed hands. I will say that under the new management, the pizzas, which were already good, are that much better! Pizzas are always fully cooked and have lots of toppings. We ordered (delivery) 3 large pizzas at 6:20 p.m. on July 18th. They arrived piping hot before 7:00 p.m. We had a chicken and ham, three meat, and a feta, ground beef, and pineapple. All were delicious! Highly recommended!

The pizza is inconsistent. 2/3 times I ordered it was burnt and they asked me if I wanted it done again and I said yes. They were great at doing it the 2nd time but this happened twice. I had to wait an extra 15 minutes both times for the pizza to be redone. I had called in all 3 times and had to wait longer. I won’t be returning because it always seems to be burnt.
