Dairy Queen Grill Chill - Whitby

My boyfriend and I got ice cream and he got a burger for dinner, I didn’t eat any of his burger. He was up all night with nausea and cramps which quickly turned to vomiting, diarrhea and chills, lasting hours. Happening only a few hours after the burger, sounds like food poisoning to me. The next day I spoke with the manager and told him what occurred, who said he could not help me in any way, shape or form and denied the sickness could be from their burger, even though he admitted he was not working when we purchased it to note how it was made. Terrible customer service. Ice cream is ice cream but if you must get food, pick a different location to eat.

Bought an ice cream cake a few minutes before close, sorry but eternally grateful! Staff was extremely friendly and even drew a nice heart for us on the cake! Thanks again for being so nice and accommodating! Strawberry Shortcake pieces on it!!! Delicious!!!

We ordered original ice cream cake for my daughter’s birthday. It tasted great. The staff Tanvi took extra effort in decorating the cake as per daughter”s request. We all enjoyed the cake!!

I'm not sure if there is new ownership or management but portion size is ridiculously small at this location. 3/4 filled blizzards, tiny cones and sundaes. We go to other locations (Ajax, Waterloo, Hamilton) and never ever have this issue. The cones are SO stale also I can't even bite them. We've finally had enough and will try the one in South Whitby even though it's much farther.

I ordered a blizzard cake for my son's birthday and it was horribly freezer burnt. No one ate it it was that gross. I called the store and was asked to take a picture of the cake to show the freezer burn, to which I responded there was no point as you can't see freezer burn. Then I was told it was impossible that it was freezer burnt and I said I would bring it to them for them to try it and see. She then apologized and offered to make a new one to which I declined as we already had dinner and sang happy birthday and were now going home so I didn't need a new cake for just us. We picked it up on our way to our family's house to have a birthday dinner with them. I said that I wanted a refund and would bring the cake back and she said that the blizzard cakes were their more expensive cakes and she could not offer me a refund because their manager was not there and advised me to call back on Thursday (this was Sunday) I said no one can do anything for me until 4 days later? And she said yes, so I said I would do that then and asked her to let the manager know what happened and that I would be calling.We called back on Thursday and spoke to the manager, who said they could not give a refund and offered a few free blizzards instead.I am so dissatisfied with how this was handled. I will never go to this dairy queen again! I will go out of my way to go to any other one.
