A&W Restaurant - Whistler

I am very fond of the teen burger, but a couple of days ago, I had a burger at the Gibson's A & W that seemed to have been warmed-over. That night, I suffered gastro pains all night, and was unable to sleep in other than an upright position. By mid-afternoon the next day, I was almost back to normal. I suspected a slight dose of food poisoning. Normally, I'd give A&W a better rating, but I worry about food handling when incidents like this arise. Maybe management needs to double-check its procedures, or to clean its kitchen.

We recently had "dinner" here and feel the quality of the food has deteriorated. I always felt A & W was the best of the fast food restaurants on the Sunshine Coast but the Gibsons A & W has changed. Our burger last night was dreadful. Bun stale, unheated, fell apart; lettuce limp, one bite of bacon, meat lukewarm, almost no sauce; fries barely reheated, soft & spongy; also only half of restaurant was in use with chairs upended in other half at peak dinnertime, so we were forced to sit in crowded area; table was not properly cleaned beforehand. Overall very disappointing!!

Sechelt's A&W Restaurant is one of those fast, reasonably priced places you go when you don't have a lot of time and you're hungry. The decor is the newer version of an A&W....small but efficient and it has an excellent drive through too.

There is just nothing like a Teenburger. And the new Bacon and Chicken and Ranch wrap is very filling. The cafe is average, but the window service is fast, efficient and friendly.
