The Gateshead Arms - Whickham

Recently, we had here the post-funeral reception of my father and all efforts were made to make the day special. The manager arranged for a photo slide show of pictures of our father on a TV in the area where we sat. Food was excellent, all employees were helpful and sympathetic. All the efforts made by staff have been appreciated by our family. Thank you.

Good bar with excellent service, good selection of beer

Beautiful friendly staff, decent prices and millions of choices of rums and gins and they have a Rum Shack garden on the roof.

Absolutely love the feel, been a while since I've been in but sometimes change is better, can't wait to go back and experience the rum shack, high recommend for midweek drinks and especially the Tuesday for quiz night, it is literally next level!
