The Swann Inn - Weymouth and Portland

This cozy pub is tucked away from the main road, but well worth a visit. The food was delicious and the service was top-notch, despite there being a shortage of staff during our visit. There was only one person managing the bar, serving food, and answering phone calls, which led to a bit of a slow service, but the quality was still excellent.

The location of the restaurant is fantastic, with a beautiful garden where we dined in the sunshine. The gardens were really lovely. We enjoyed a light lunch that was delicious and enjoyable. The server who brought out our food was very friendly and engaging. However, the neighboring pub was offering slightly cheaper lunches, but I chose to dine at The Swann because of its nicer garden seating. Price is something to consider when dining here. What really bothered me was the owner's attitude when I asked him twice where the ladies' toilets were in the bar. He completely ignored me and looked right through me as if I didn't exist. Because of this, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

We ended up getting a wrong reservation done at another hotel and reached Swann Inn in the middle of night looking for a accommodation. The Owner was so hospitable, she waited for us and ensured we are comfortably checked in our rooms and in the...morning she gave us a proper English breakfast ....the rooms are small but were warm enough and perfect in the cold snow laden night we stayed there....thank you lovely lady.

We often visit The Swann as it caters for ordinary people with realistic budgets. Gorgeous food at very reasonable prices, served up with good banter with the locals. This made our visit even more pleasurable. The home cooked ham was to die for' Hubby's burger...was Delicious. New shared bits and pieces as you do. Some food wastage but only due to full bellys. We will return again and again. Top marks to Andrew, the chef of the day.

Called in for lunch, place was buzzing food was great and reasonably priced. Good service also.Certainly one of the best Witherspoon pubs we have visited and will definitely go again.
