I've been going to Phil for years. When Phil could cook in his restaurant, the food was second. Now own his daughter or other family members or manage them. The food is not nearby. As far as service was, there is plenty of room for improvement. Logan has great food and everyone is so beautiful and happy to serve you at a much more reasonable price. Sad to see Phil retired.
My steak was HUGE and perfected. King crab legs decorated fresh and juicy. Very casual, unfair ambience with a lot of country flair. Love it!
Have heard so many great things about Phil's, but I must say I had the hardest ribeye I've ever eaten tonight and when the hostess asked how our meal was, their answer, well, no one complained about it tonight. It won't go back.
Service was beyond terrible. After the hostess tried to seat the four people that came in AFTER us (and they told her that we were there first), we were seated at the end of someone else's table RIGHT NEXT to the hostess' counter. After waiting approximately 20 minutes without being approached by a waitress, we turned and asked the hostess if she knew who our waitress was supposed to be. She never got up from her chair, but a waitress nearby did ask if we had been waited on and said she would get someone to us. About 5 minutes later we were finally addressed by a different waitress, as she was bringing food to a table of SIX who was seated AFTER us, who said she would be with us in a minute. After at least another 5 minutes we turned again to the hostess and asked if we could see menus to look at (while we wait) and she very hatefully told us that our waitress would bring our menus. That was the point in which we got up and left. We will NEVER go back. Being busy is understandable, being ignored is unacceptable. The food costs way too much for that poor of service.
