Bidra med feedbackWe were recommended to try this place because “they have good bread”. that's just what they did. I called on a Wednesday at 17.30 in my order (so it was not minutes before closing or something) and when I came in to get my food, my annoyance was not recognized by one of the maybe 5 teenagers in the kitchen behind the counter. they all looked at me and continued on plans for later that evening. At some point, the waiter came up and jumped my lunch. I paid $70 for a large filled crust pizza (which had barely any cheese in the crust, only some sprinkled mozzarella), a large stromboli and 2 cannolis. I love to support local businesses, and do not think about the high-for-a-pizza place price. if it's good to eat. Unfortunately, I've never seen a more fat pizza in my whole life. I needed almost half a roll of paper towels to clean the fat, and it also suffered by the box. there was hardly any sauce at all, and crust was so thin (and soggy) it could also have been a tortilla. the best part? I called the next day during the day to talk nicely with a manager about our first experience in Roberto’s. she has in the ground everything I said canceled, but the teens did not realize to pay attention / to recognize me. she did not offer “to make better” in a sense. no “it could have been an inexperienced chef, in which it is much better, I’m sorry that they don’t have a good experience, how can we do that right? etc. this was our first (and last) trip to Roberto’s in westminster.
We were recommended to try this place because “they have good bread”... that’s about the only thing they had going. I called in my order around 5:30pm on a Wednesday (so it was not minutes before closing or anything like that), and when I came inside to pickup my food, my presence was not acknowledged by any of the maybe 5 teenagers in the kitchen behind the counter. They all looked at me, and carried on discussing plans for later that evening. Eventually the waiter came up and rung up my food... I paid $70 for a large stuffed crust pizza (that had BARELY any cheese in the crust, just some sprinkled mozzarella), a large Stromboli, and 2 cannolis. I love supporting local businesses, and don’t mind the high-for-a-pizza-place price ... if the food is good. Unfortunately, I’ve never seen a greasier pizza in my entire life. I needed nearly half a roll of paper towels to soak up the grease, and it also leaked through the box. There was hardly any sauce at all, and crust was so thin (and soggy). The best part? I called the next day, during the day, to speak nicely with a manager about our first experience ever at Roberto’s... she basically dismissed everything I said, but acknowledged the teenagers not paying attention/acknowledging me. She did not offer to “make this better” in ANY sense. No “it might’ve been an inexperienced cook, usually it’s a lot better, I’m sorry you didn’t have a good experience, how can we make this right? Etc”. This was our first (and last) trip to Roberto’s in Westminster.
Roberto's has been a fabulous eatery in Westminster for 30+years. It is a homey, old world feel ambiance. Wonderful music. Personable and attentive staff, decided dedicated to making sure that your entire experience is a ????? one. Plus, supporting local business! Wins all around!
First time here and I must say I'm very impressed with the ambiance. The food is phenomenal. The staff are extremely friendly and make sure all your needs are met. I will definitely be coming back here again.
Really some of the best pizza you will ever have. Love it.
