Maryland Mallet - Westminster

Let me give you a visual.....I travel high and low for quality crabs from Jersey to Florida and these are by far the BEST crabs I've had in a real long time especially for it to be January....I enjoyed myself and although I live in NC, I will be a regular! Good seafood ain't cheap, and cheap seafood ain't good!!! My son ordered chicken and waffles and it was good as well.

Seafood and regular food restaurant. Maryland Mallet Restaurant and Smokehouse Pub is a few miles from the Carroll County Regional Airport. The front door opens on the upper level, and the back door opens to the lower level. Since the parking lot is on a hill, there are no steps between the parking lot and either level so both levels are handicapped accessible. I had a cream of crab soup, plenty of cream, some crab meat, excellent seasoning. Then I had a crab melt sandwich, essentially a BLT on toast with crab meat. Very good. My cousin and his friend had crab cakes. They enjoyed them. Service was efficient and friendly. The restaurant was neat and clean. I recommend the Maryland Mallet Restaurant and Smokehouse Pub.

The menu was not overwhelming. It has the choice of eating to tips. First ordered the appetizer, scallops with double bacon wrapped under maple syrup.. That was just the beginning of a great meal. I chose the 1/2 rack ribs and crab cake. I've never seen this combo before, but it was fantastic!! I cut a rib off the shelf and took it with my fingers only to see how it falls on the plate. So soft mouth water. Mostly melted in my mouth, but also the crispy bits from the grill. The crab cake was nothing but lumpy. I don't know how they held it together!! The Pommes were like Thrashers!! I'm back. Careful about her hot wings .. if you have 6 stars... that's what they deserve!!

Had a great meal, with great service! We have a dozen xl crabs, some delicious smoked wings, and my son got the pulled pig. Everything was perfect, and the service was great! Our new favorite place!

Great service. Frosty drinks. Professional kitchen staff. The seafood is high quality and properly prepared in a clean and tidy kitchen! Very recommended!
