UPDATED REVIEW:Joy Wah is back and better than ever! To the way we always loved. So wonderful to see the owner with a beaming smile on his face and the restaurant buzzing with customers. Thank you very much for your hospitality and kindness. So happy Mr. Homm has his restaurant back. Original Post: My husband has been going here since he was 5 and has never had a bad experience until tonight. Joy Wah was known for their Wonton Soup. I 've never tasted toilet water, but I 'm sure it 'd be comparable to their (COLD) Wonton soup they have now after new ownership. My stomach is already starting to hurt from their beef meatballs with green peppers and pork fried rice . Too bad Mr. Homm doesn 't still own it with his very kind and professional staff. The young girls are nice enough, but the new owner never taught them how to wait tables. If the water wasn 't right next to us we would have been waiting for water for the rest of our meal. Joy Wah used to be the only chinese food restaurant we liked but now it 's just the same as any other unsanitary chinese food restaurant. The bathroom floor was sticky and the stall wouldn 't lock. Staff looked very unprofessional. Absolutely disappointing. Last time we go there. There 's a reason why even on a Saturday night during prime time there 's only 3 tables there. Please bring back the old owners.
Joy Wah is back! The place was packed but we didn't mind waiting because we were just happy to be able to eat here again. Food was great, service was as usual, the best. Glad to have you back!
Back to original owners and name. I'm very happy to see Joy Wah back in business after a brief ownership and name change had hurt it so much. The Golden Fortune fiasco was sad and these great people and excellent restaurant didn't deserve to have their names ruined by it! Good luck to the ORIGINAL owners as they relaunch the JOY WAH!
Horrible. Been down hill ever since the change of owners.
