Bidra med feedbackHello workers who knows my family. I cannot believe this place have 珍珠丸子 which is pearl meatball with sticky rice. That dish is so rare to find most popular dim sum place here don't have that dish including in vegas I think most likely due to it not being from shanghai nor other huge place like chengdu since its from a mountain side region hunan and this place have it. I like getting that along with shu mai here.
Good to go dim sum. Not the best, but passable in this area. Prices are surprisingly middling, not the cheapest but not the most expensive. Selection is less than other places. Side sauce is excellent and almost worth a dedicated visit.
I came here for lunch on a Thursday. It was 12:30pm. I came here looking for dimsum to satisfy my craving without costing a fortune. It's a small cafe with dimsum on display and a few tables. I don't know if it's because it's not the weekend or if I came too late but there were barely any dimsum items on display. The shrimp dumplings and xiumai looked depressing and like they've been sitting out. I ordered the sticky rice, shrimp dumpling, xiumai, pork spare ribs, and egg tart. They had to microwave my food since I will be eating in which means that it has been sitting out/not fresh. Total for all that was $15.50 which is pretty cheap. It was cash only. The food was ok, probably the worst compared to the other dimsum places I've been to. I came here wanting cheap dimsum but debating if I should give them a second chance on the weekend or not come back because I would rather pay more for something more decent.
Giai Phat is still one of my favorite and go to Dim sum. Lines aren't too crazy also. The shu mai and har gow are my favorite dim sum there. The dough for the har gow is different from your traditional ones, but I like the texture and chewness of the har gow here. Sometimes if you get lucky, they have promotions where you buy 2 get 1 free. If you love hot chili sauce, then you came to the right place. What I do is mix their sate and siracha and some soy sauce. OMG its amazing, its definitely spicy, but the flavor is out of this world. It makes dipping the dim sum there even better!! Overall, I enjoy all the different dim sum at Giai Phat. The wonton soup is also delicious
This place is a great option for dim sum take outs. If you don't want to wait 1-2hr at nearby dim sum restaurants on the weekend (which is usually the case lol , then consider this a good alternative. You can eat inside as well but it is a fairly small shop so if you are with a big party- ya might wanna go to Mile Square Park nearby where you can sit in the open, chill with your people and eat dim sum and then do sum more fun activities : . My absolute favorite is the banh coun tom which is pretty much shrimp wrapped in rice paper and it comes with a very mild soy sauce (not as a dip but to pour over . All of their dumplings are made fresh and restocked pretty much every hour or less. You can see them churning out fresh items while waiting in line. I love their fried pastries such as the fried xia xiu buns. Mmm... there is a delicious glaze on top and it tastes so good. These kinds of food tastes better when consumed immediately or within the hour because reheating them at a later time will not recapture the soft texture of the exterior. It'll tastes OK but not superb like when they are fresh. Their dipping sauces are also very good, which if you are Vietnamese, you know that matters greatly- especially the chili oil and soy sauce. They make their own and you can buy a whole jar if you really enjoy it. This is a CASH ONLY place so please make sure to bring some bills with you. If not, I believe there is an ATM right inside or walk over to the Wells Fargo a few steps away and withdraw some George Washingtons cause you'll need it. They are pretty affordable and $10-$12 worth of order should feed a hungry individual but if you are a fatty like me, $20-$22 should hit that craving and satisfy ya belly!
