Bidra med feedbackTried Bánh Cu needed Tây Hrill 2 according to recommended by both the locals and a family friend who had tried it during their trip. Very tasty and fast service.
I was nearby during a business meeting. I was having a hard time finding a parking spot. The place on has 2 reserved parking spot. I guess there can only be 2 parties dining there at a time. Unless they expect people walking to the place. We had to go around the building and parked at another business. The server greeted us and showed the table as soon as we walked in. He provided us with water right away and the menu right after. We ordered 3 specialty dished. It took about 7 minutes for all the food to come out at the same time. The food taste great for all of us. Luckily, we understood Vietnamese as it seemed like the place had trouble understanding English. There were so many people order to go as understably due to limited parking space.
They don't speak much English but who cares .. great service and great eats.
After comparing the menus I've photographed from both locations, I noticed that Banh Cuon Tay Ho 4 is slightly pricier, with each dish costing about $0.25 more. When I'm in Little Saigon, Banh Cuon Tay Ho 2 is always one of my go-to spots, alongside Hui Oi and Brodard. One of my favorites is the rolled cake, especially when it's wrapped in tropical leaves and served with the delicious sweet chili fish sauce. The cake is incredibly soft, and the flavor is outstanding. The fried shrimp tempura with yam is also tasty, but I recommend not ordering it as a standalone dish since it's included in the rolled cake set. It can be a bit too much if you get both. Overall, I've given both Banh Cuon Tay Ho 2 and 4 a rating of 4 stars, or 85 out of 100.
Great food! If you're not a fan of fish sauce, this might not be the best spot for you. The dishes are very authentic and generously portioned. However, the restaurant is quite small and the parking situation can be tricky. For those unfamiliar, Banh Cuon consists of rice batter filled with meat and served with a thin fish sauce for dipping. The yam potato fries are fantastic as well!
