We've eaten there a bunch of times and the food never disappoints. Never sever so the speed was a bit fast compared to previous visits but that's not a bad thing. The short rib was more like 50/50 meat to fat which was disappointing and my steak was cooked more to medium than extremely rare. One of the few places where I trust the cooks and the meat to be good, anywhere else the steak would be sent back. It was an extremely enjoyable time and very relaxed. Highly recommend to anyone I know and we will be going back in no time.
Chilean Sea Bass was a surprise deliciously served gluten free. The chopped salad was excellent. The early bird twin filet mignon (medium rare) Caesar salad were really good. The well done filet mignon was dry ? But the lobster tail was good. The red velvet cake besides being a quarter of a huge layered cake was superb with leftovers for about 6 days. Negative: soap dispensers in both Men's Women's restrooms squirt at your body horizontally, instead of down into your hands. And a soup spoon for the cappuccino for the really delicious crème brûlée was such a lack of finesse for our $400 ish bill for the 4 of us. Great food, but dessert table settings were disturbing.
First visit to Westlake Hyde Park everything was great!!! From my Hibiscus Cosmo to my sister's shrimp cocktail, to my husband's wedge salad, to the Short Rib of beef was delicious! Thank you Hyde Park ?
Everything about the experience was amazing. Walking in the front door and being kindly greeted by the host with a smile, to the waiter being prompt and getting us our food hot, and was always there when something was needed. The manager Katie was the best I have been around in a long time. Her kind demeanor and her overall personality as well as how she ran the restaurant and interacted with the guests was amazing. She needs a promotion!
