Bidra med feedbackWhen my chowder arrived, the waiter asked my wife if she would like a regular salad without seafood as an afterthought. She was pleased to have that option, even though it was not listed on the menu. However, there was a long wait for her salad to arrive, and by the time it did, I had finished my soup. Our bread order had still not been fulfilled at this point. Eventually, our fillets arrived, with the server announcing that they were both cooked medium rare without asking for our preferences. I was fine with this, but my wife prefers her steak rare. Instead of sending it back and waiting longer, she reluctantly accepted the fillet given to her. I reminded the server about our bread order, and she was surprised before promptly returning with it after a few minutes. Our original waiter seemed to disappear after taking my wife's salad order until our main course arrived. He did check on us shortly after we got our fillets, but by then it felt too late to address the issues we had encountered. We were not in a rush to return after this experience, and we hope that this was not the norm for the restaurant. Management should investigate the service breakdown and ensure that it does not happen often. It might be helpful to add a non-seafood salad option to the menu. Overall, we enjoyed the food, aside from the minor issue of the cooking degree of the fillet for my wife.
I was thrilled when this restaurant opened, as I have lived by the beach for the past 25 years and am a beach and ocean enthusiast. The view is not visible at night, so it is best to visit during the daytime for the full experience. It may be more enjoyable in the summer on the deck, as you are closer to the ocean. My husband really enjoyed the Steak frites on both occasions he ordered it. I tried the mussels and found them to be delicious. However, I was disappointed with the prawn scallop pesto pasta dish. The prawns were tasteless and not grilled as stated on the menu, and the scallops were of poor quality and poorly cooked. The pasta sauce, on the other hand, was tasty and rich. As a franchise that has been around for a long time, I expected better quality. The presentation could easily be improved by using nicer white bowl plates instead of the small, unappealing bowls that the dishes were served in. For example, the mussels were served in a dark pot, which made it hard to appreciate their beauty. I hope they reconsider the plating to enhance the overall dining experience. Despite this, we plan to return to try more dishes and sitting at the bar, where we enjoyed the views and excellent service.
I usually make a point to come here especially if I plan to go boating to Horseshoe bay. The food is very good as is the service. If you can sit on the patio, the views are amazing to the north overlooking Stanley Park and downtown vancouver. You get great views of the ships, and cruise ships sailing by and nice sunset views!
This has turned out to be our go to place. It's right on the beach, great views, happy hour has great deals, the food is always good and the drinks are amazing (Alcholic or Virgin I am not much of a drinker but like to sit on a patio and enjoy happy hour with my friends and this place always makes me fell welcome and my drinks are very taste. Happy hour food items are a super deal. The fish tacos are to die for (if you like spicy It can get very busy, but they will take your name and call you (Phone when your table is ready so you can go for a nice walk on the sea wall or the beach or just hang out on the pier.
I cannot comment on the food menu, but this restaurant is an excellent spot to stop by for a happy hour drink and appetizers. The view is fantastic and parking is convenient (and complimentary). They offer a nice selection of beers and the service is very attentive.
