Big D's House Of Bbq - West Union

Went to dinner at 630. it was after 730 when we were finally served. the owner had a party of over 30. They were very loud. I could hardly hear my wife in the chair next to me. that was rough. the hot sauce I have to say was excellent. my wife said that the crooked pig was okay.

Food was delicious, customer service was on point! We will be coming back when in town! The brisket was so tender and pulled pork sandwich was so tasty. The portions were great for the price.

We’ve eaten here twice and I honestly do not understand the hype. The food is good but it’s not exceptional. It’s not somewhere that I would specifically look forward to going or seek out. The dine-in bbq is mediocre and takeout is even worse. Also their sweet potato crunch cobbler is never available, it is always conveniently sold out no matter what time of day you call for it.

Driving past it smelled amazing, but actually eating this food was SO MUCH MORE!! My boyfriend and I got 2 meat plates and one dessert and it was plenty for a meal and leftovers. this food is made with love and if you haven’t tried it, you’re truly missing out and need to stop by when you’re in town!!
