Rouge - West Stockbridge

We had a good meal in the dining room, but only found out that the tapas menu is only in cash after we sat. close to tanglewood.

Best burger in the countries! great menu, great staff, comfortable environment and a very personable owner who is all for the people around them. a little god!

Great drinks, beautiful atmosphere. variety of appetizers and beautiful desserts. not many healthy decisions, but it is French! more beautiful place for a casual date.

It could be great. Not yet! I went to the recommendation from friends to rouge. I liked the atmosphere and the broth, but that's what it was about. I ordered the grilled sliced, ny strip with sauteed spinat, rosemary infused mashed potatoes and a red wine shallot confit. it would have been an amazing dish, but the meat was so fat that it made practically unusable. I will try again in the future, because I think it could be a great place. by then.

When we are in the Berkshires at our second home, we tend to dine out 5 nights per week. We have been to all of the better restaurants, numerous times, including Alta, Cafe Lucia, Bistro Zinc, Brava, etc. Lenox is restaurant central . I have been asked a number of times what I thought was the best one. Interestingly, the best by far isn't even in Lenox. It's in W. Stockbridge, and its name is Rouge. Maggie, the owner, and Oliver the chef do an incredible job, in both food and service. If you know really good food when you taste it, you definitely will want to go to this restaurant.
