I ordered the eggplant parmesan, which was supposed to be toasted, but the bread was merely warm and served on a hoagie-style roll instead of a proper grinder roll, which should be crispy. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning of the issues. The eggplant itself consisted of a few very thin, barely breaded slices that were soggy and lacked any seasoning, with hardly any cheese to speak of. And where was the sauce? There was at best a tablespoon of sauce on the grinder. I ended up with essentially a warm hoagie roll topped with two thin, unseasoned eggplant slices, a tiny sprinkle of cheese, and no sauce whatsoever. As for my husband's steak grinder, he described it as just okay, saying it also had no flavor. On a different note, and unrelated to the food, the service was less than ideal. When I approached the back door, a staff member was standing nearby smoking, completely enveloped in a cloud of smoke. As I opened the door, he finished his cigarette and went back inside through the same entrance. Just moments later, I saw him in the kitchen without any apparent handwashing—it's just unacceptable. Considering I had just seen him smoking, I would have expected him to at least take a moment to wash his hands. Overall, we were disappointed and won’t be returning. We'll continue to choose Village Pizza, just a short distance away, as our preferred spot.

The food was outstanding, earning a perfect score of 5. Every dish was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The service was equally impressive, also receiving a top rating of 5; the staff was attentive and friendly, making our experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a rating of 4, providing a nice backdrop for our evening. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!
