Bidra med feedbackMany already prepared vegan items! This place is packed with locals for quick take-out lunch during the week. I highly recommend the roasted cauliflower with basil, it's great! All the bean salads are also great. You may order these items individually by the pound or together as a vegetable platter. Falafel are a little greasy, but they make a nice wrap which can be served on a white or whole wheat pita. Lately my go-to take out lunch has been the lentil and potato soup, which is delicious and very inexpensive. Olive bar has many delicious olives sold by the pound. Lots of hummus, pitas, lentils, nuts, snacks, and read are available in the market. For the vegetarians, many cheeses are also sold by the pound. The owners are also super nice and they offer catering. Updated from previous review on Saturday June 21, 2014
I'm a native here and this place is just fantastic for vegans. yes, they serve meat and cheese, but their vegan items are the best medium-east food round. it is in the round a through-passing place with a small folding table outside for some sitting places. it is always packed because eating is so good. falafel, baba ghanouj, tabouli, the best seasoned Pita bread they had ever lived in their lives. all types of Sleeve salads that are very savory. the three brothers give the place a real personality. I use them to host my house parties. I go in there and place a great execution order and they will deliver when they are close.
I'm Lebanese. the olives they sell are also Lebanese and I love them. take home: olive from the olive bar; freshly baked pita iterations; the crispy zaatar pita chips. take them to lunch: spinach triangle cake and vegetarian grape leaves from deli as well as the falafel sandwiches. also great place for shopping for medium Eastern food clamps such as spice, tahini, zaatar, mloukhia, etc.
We stopped a few hours before we went to the airport for our final meal before we went home. there is a small table outside, but beyond that there are no seats. Plan them to get their food and drive them down to the green market park or maybe in the inner city on a bank. the falafel platter came with hummus, rice, brot, salat, falafel and tahini. it was $10 and had an enormous amount of food. I think two people could just share it. very well made and delicious.
