The highlight of the night was the blues guitar music and singing performed by two members of the Rabbitsfoot Spasm Band. It was the perfect outing in the village.
The restaurant is a pleasant place with welcoming staff at the bar. I dropped in for a quick pint during my bike ride and enjoyed a delicious beer at this convenient stopping point. It's just too bad that they're not open all day on Saturdays and Sundays.
This is my new favorite neighborhood pub. The beer is cold, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. It's like classic pub fare that really hits the spot without breaking the bank. What more could you ask for?
Popped in for some lunch after a walk around Blenheim Palace as it was one of the only places around that was a open and b not in busy and hard to park Woodstock!!! Reasonable menu with variety of lunches and mains! We all had lunches and cream teas. Good sized portions of food for a reasonable price and we were all content at the end. Want to give it 3.5 stars really but not quite 4. Missing a few tricks really. We ordered 2 cream teas, which came with a scone each. They weren't substantial scones (although they did give us an extra one because they were particularly small....a nice gesture! but they couldn't offer any decaf drink with the cream tea. My other half ended up drinking fruit tea (essentially fruit-smelling hot water......just an opinion! . We also added a portion of chips to a panini at the cost of £2.10...a bit rich for a side I personally reckon. But saying that, the staff were nice and pleasant and were keen as mustard to help us out! Okay stop for lunch if you're in the area!!
£6 for a tinned hotdog and a handful of cold chips!! That's pretty poor. I at expected an actual sausage. Wouldn't return
