The meal kicked off perfectly with the Purnell's Scotch Egg. It was crispy on the outside and filled with a wonderfully flavorful, creamy sausage enveloping the egg. The Chicken Schnitzel truly exceeded my expectations. I’m used to restaurants serving dry, tough pieces of fried chicken, but Purnell's version was absolutely the opposite. I was amazed when I inspected the schnitzel, and even more so when I took my first bite. The combination of grilled romaine lettuce, bacon, anchovies, and anchovy mayonnaise made it so good that I had to tell my assistant, who was trying to reach me, that I would be unavailable for the next 30 minutes because I was enjoying something special. I wholeheartedly recommend this dish. As for the Vanilla Panna Cotta with strawberries, it was soft, creamy, and bursting with fresh vanilla flavor, accompanied by a generous serving of sorbet and fresh fruit. After I tried it, I couldn't resist ordering another one to savor it even more! It has been a long time since I’ve been so pleasantly surprised by excellent service and incredibly delicious food in a cozy location that made me feel right at home.

Even though the restaurant was short on a few items, the staff went above and beyond to create a warm and inviting atmosphere and were extremely attentive. The food was, as always, delicious.
