Suffer from serious neglect. I am not someone who would normally submit the meetings, but if a big pub and decent eating place has been neglected to the state, this institution has, then people must know before they spend their hard-earned money! what once was a very good pub that had a great regular pub culture and offered good gastro-pub food, is now a shadow of what it was. so much so that I no longer visit the groups of overseas colleagues from our American Asian offices and customers in our offices, something I did regularly. what is going on? inconsistent food, not acceptable if it is at the top of the price scale, even central...read more

Visited for a Sunday dinner. very lively bar area. one of the guests was lactose, gluten and garlic inlerant, which had previously been highlighted before the booking, whether the chef would fulfill accordingly. the waitress was aware of this, but was very negatiw regarding the choices and whether the cook would actually be finished. steak, chips snuffed salat seemed the only choice that avoids treating the cook with the food intolerances. a lot of meal times were ordered by röstlamm to steak and ale cake. No one in the group of 5 thought their meal was particularly good. the cakes were baked and meat. Roast dinners were dry and our eating unbearable member of the group suffered a bad feeling despite their safe choices. a disappointing experience.

Called with my hubby for lunch whilst on holiday ... fabulous service value for money... we had the black pudding chicken livers for starters fish chips mushroom risotto... ordered extra chips onion rings but the portions are so generous,...

My wife and I absolutely adore this country establishment. Truly delicious food, a fabulous ambience, superb value for money and extremely attentive staff. What more could one ask? The Eagle Child ALWAYS exceeds our expectations and we can never wait to return.
