West Lakes Golf Club

On a Friday evening in the middle of December, my family and I had dinner at the West Lakes Golf Club. It was an interesting choice, with a high deck and a large glass wall providing a view of the lush greenery. The atmosphere was relaxing. We had no trouble finding parking right by the entrance in the late afternoon. However, I was disappointed by the limited menu and wine list. The space itself was bland and almost institutional looking, lacking in any redeeming features. The service was adequate, but even though one person in our group was a club member, we still felt somewhat out of place. The food did not live up to expectations - my chicken dish was small and very oily, and the peppercorn sauce was lacking in flavor. The sticky date pudding for dessert was also lacking in flavor and had a texture more like plain white bread than a rich pudding. Overall, we were not impressed with our dining experience and don't plan on returning.

On Sunday with the family. the view from the bistro were from golf course, bushland and bird life! our food was delicious and arrived in a contemporary fashion. the carvings were crisp and served with plenty of chips and salat. the personal was friendly and...relax

We enjoyed a perfect evening with two T-bone steaks and a bottle of Shiraz at this restaurant. We even tried to have the affogato dessert.

I am a frequent visitor to the West Lakes Golf Club and I always enjoy dining in the Atrium Dining Room. The venue is fantastic and the menu offers a variety of options. The food and wine selection is of excellent quality. I will definitely be returning soon.

Visited on a Friday night. Fair selection of meals, served hot and of good fare. Drinks were very reasonable prices. Facilities are very clean and staff friendly. You can also just have drinks in the bar area. Great place for a wedding, with lovely views...of the course through the floor to ceiling Windows. Is in the Entertainment book. For $5 you get 5 numbers. If one is drawn out you can select a card on a board. If it's the joker, you win the cash prize. Other prizes were bottles of wine. Easy parking and access for disabled. Quiet location. A lovely night out. We will return.
