Bidra med feedbackWe used to frequent Simpl, and I'm not sure why our past few visits have not been great. Our most recent visit, the bread our meal was served on was stale, and the fries were undercooked. They were out of ketchup and offered the ailoi as an alternative but charged for it. We sat at the bar There were small ants crawling across it throughout our meal, and when we brought it up to the bartender, they didn't do anything didn't wipe the bar down, didn't investigate the issue. So, we were left to smush them ourselves as they crawled near our food. Our $12 drinks were watered down and didn't taste like much of anything. It's honestly the worst old fashioned I've ever had. I'm bummed, because we've visited Simpl alot over the past year and a half, and I understand having a bad night once in a while, but it's just seemed to go downhill the past several months. Our visit prior, our food was served cold. I really hope they can figure things out.
Food was good mostly. Waffles were over cooked. Kitchen was off. Appetizer came with meal. One meal came 15 minutes after most of the table was done eating. Waiter was great. Rude person delivered late appetizer. Probably won’t go back.
Love this place! Food is excellent, service is always spot on. Finally decided to leave a review after hearing the Karen at the table beside me giving the server so much grief about everything and saying she was going to leave a negative google review! Highly recommend this place if you like good food and a chill atmosphere!
This was our first visit. It opened in 2019 and is located in the Sevier District. (very trendy area). It is next to the Alliance Brewery. It has a rotating menu based on local and seasonal ingredients. Went with five other adult family members on a Saturday night. We sat in the Garage area. We enjoyed the appetizers garlic parm fries and smoked wings. The entrees were the House Burger (served with fries, aioli on a paysan bun) , the Shrimp grits, Black BeanBurger with chili fries, Lemon Shrimp Alfredo, and the Mojo Pork Tostada. The latter was a very impressive presentation done by Brittany. Our server (Hattie) was very attentive. They have a large variety of cocktails, wine and craft beers.
I recommend getting a reservation as seating is very limited. I went for brunch on Sunday and the food was excellent. No problems with the service either. Easy to navigate if you have a wheelchair or mobility aid. The seats are those terribly uncomfortable metal chairs so many places use and they are super unforgiving if you are a big person.I got the breakfast burrito (pictured) and the garlic parm potatoes and they were both incredible. Will go again.
