Modest Butcher - West Kelowna

At the beginning of our lunch we advised and received the opportunity to go down to taste a wine tasting. We did, too, and it was very nice. superb, spacious, modern tasting room and a very knowledgeable guy who led us through a few white and red. we bought 3 bottles wein so excellent upselling skills from the restaurant host! the dining room is beautiful. again, modern, stellare view of the lake and the mountains, and correspondingly spaced apart for these challenging times. server has made a nice job though, when my companion wanted a little more dressing for her salat, the server was not around. no worries, another employee took care of it. the menu is not extensive, but there is something for everyone (including allergies and nutritional questions.) our modifications were easy to handle and the food was good if a little expensive. Although, $22 for a burger in the series of what they find in vancouver, it is a bit of an surprise for the kelowna area. the dinner menu is definitely priced in the “fine dining” class, so be prepared. overall it was a wonderful experience.

Their wine portions in the restaurant were very small. I paid $18 for a 5oz glass. Most restaurants in town have us all conditioned to getting either a 6 or 9oz. And when in the large glass it looked very skimpy.

We attended the restaurant to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We were greeted and seated quickly. A young lady came with water and told us our server would be by shortly. The section of food and drinks was good. Our waiter was pleasant and knowledgeable of all menu items. The food arrived quite quickly and we all enjoyed what was served. The plates were hot when served and the quantity was just right. We were in and out in under two hours and never felt rushed at all. Will definitely use this restaurant again.

I sent my parents here for their first time for their 40th wedding anniversary dinner and they loved it!
